Things are not going right computer wise. Aol keeps disconnecting, the comp is running slow, AOL temporarily lost several days email.....(got them back now but will take me ages to get through them)..and today I can't log on to the Crafters re-united forum. I was hoping to post a card for the inspirational challenge and the deadline is tomorrow. I'm not a happy bunny. To top all that I have lost a couple of sheets of self adhesive gems. I know I had them a few days ago but can't remember putting them away. Wanted them yesterday and can't find them anywhere. I've looked in every drawer, box and folder and can't find them. It's so annoying! Anyway I have got a couple of cards to post. The first one was for my youngest's birthday (22). Now John doesn't "do" cards...I've done the football..the car..the sexy lady etc. Was a bit stumped so I decided to keep it simple. Done in the colours of his room. He didn't say much about it but it's still on the mantelpiece.....2 weeks later....so I think he likes it.
Black card matted and layered onto white and grey. Big faux brads in grey (punched circles and then embossed and added glossy accents). Lettering is an alphabet die borrowed from eldest..so I don't know the make, and to finish it off, some grey paper string....simples!
This next card kills two birds.....It's for my DIL's birthday and I hope to enter it for the forum inspirational challenge....if I can get logged on. I was a bit worried that it was too young for her, 40 something, but she does love cute, fairies and glitter, so I've gone for it. The image is from Lilli of the valley, matted onto glitter card. Added a bit of glitter to her wings. The backing paper is by Pink Petticoat....used it for the sentiment as well. Used an X-cut punch on cream card to match the base card down the side, added a blue lace ribbon from my stash. Punched butterfly ..same as backing paper....which I've foiled with silver. Three die cut flowers with a bit of stickles glitter glue, and a leaf punch to finish it all off. Hope she likes it.
